What to bring to Class
All mats, props and bolsters and blankets are provided
All new students will be asked to fill out a registration form so the teacher has an idea of the needs of each individual. You can either download from this site, or one will be provided at your first class.
Prenatal Yoga for Partners
Nina teaches monthly prenatal yoga classes for partners. These classes offer a wonderful opportunity to practice prenatal yoga with your partner, mum, best friend, or birth assistant. Learn with your partner the many ways yoga stretches and breathing practices can help you feel more comfortable during pregnancy and prepare you for childbirth.
Suitable for first-time parents or as excellent refresher classes, Nina’s prenatal yoga for partners classes are held in a relaxed atmosphere, that is both light hearted and informative, with plenty of time for individual attention. In these classes you can expect to acquire information and techniques to~
§ help you both feel more informed about the universal experiences
of pregnancy, and confident in your ability to give birth
§ help fathers/partners maximise their involvement during pregnancy
and childbirth
§ help you to focus on and share your feelings about childbirth and
the impending arrival of your new baby.
§ become very familiar through practical work on positions, partner
participation and massage the many ways partners can contribute to a
positive experience of pregnancy and childbirth
§ understand the role of stretching to develop fitness, improve
posture and encourage better positioning of the baby for birth
§ prevent and manage aches, pains and minor ailments experienced
through the course of pregnancy
§ practice breath awareness and deep relaxation for use in pregnancy
and childbirth
§ learn many practical ways to assist a labouring woman during
childbirth including natural up-right birth positions and relaxation
§ learn how to create a calm and reassuring atmosphere during
labour, that will help you both cope with the unknowns that may come
with the experience of childbirth
The next class will be held Saturday 1 December 10.00 – 11.30
This will replace the usual Saturday morning prenatal yoga class
$40 full/ $38 concession

Teacher details
Nina takes the thursday morning prenatal classes at resonate. Her approach to teaching is eclectic, warm and heart-centred. Classes are flowing, integrating movement with breath and intention to awaken the inner light within us all. It is Nina’s belief that for each of us and especially during pregnancy, the practice of Yoga has the capacity to awaken our unique and infinite capacity for unconditional love, compassion, creativity and joy. Nina is a mother of one fine young boy and she brings her experiences of motherhood into teaching prenatal yoga with loving awareness, sharing her insights into pregnancy that make the connection to yoga both accessible and very relevant to modern parenting.
Bonnie - Bonnie takes the tuesday night yoga class as resonate she belives pregnancy is a sacred journey for both mother and baby. And Yoga allows you to take time out for reflection and connection with yourself and your growing baby. Bonnie makes each class at resonate yoga sutible for all levels of experience. Her classes weave together postures, breathing, deep relaxation and meditatio, to help you experience a more radiant prengnacy and prepare your body, mind, heart and your spirit for the birth of your baby.
