Personal Yoga Classes ~ Designed just for You

The essence of this type of yoga experience is in tailoring the yoga practise to fit you and your needs, rather than you trying to make your body accommodate a prescribed yoga practise. The teacher, through discussion and exploration with you, will sequence a practise that not only honours where you are in that moment, but also takes you on a journey to realising your own goals.

This style of practise is designed specifically for individuals, couples or small groups of friends.

Teacher Rachael Freeland

“As we move through the hustle and bustle od daily life it can often be challanging to find a moment to stop and smell the roses….” (what roses? I didn’t notice any roses). For me the power of yoga, is in its increasingly subtle levels of connection; with our body, our breath, our mind, with the present moment and all that that moment has to offer us
Rachael completed her teacher training with the Australian Institute of Yoga Therapy (CAE) and is an accredited member of the YTAA (Yoga Teacher’s Association of Australia). She also has a professional background in psychology and counselling. She is currently completing a Yoga Therapy course to more effectively combine her two passions, and delve more deeply into the healing power of yoga.
Rachael currently teaches both adult and children’s yoga classes at a number of locations around Melbourne. She is also available to tailor private yoga classes for individuals, couples or small groups - either in the studio or at their homes.

Sweet Music from it or Confused Sounds”

Why offer Yoga Classes in your workplace?

The Occupational Health and Safety Act requires employers to be proactive about their staff’s health and wellbeing. Providing Yoga classes within your work place offers staff the opportunity to look after their bodies in a safe, considered and convenient way.

Do your staff spend:

  • Long hours sitting in front of a computer or at a desk
  • Suffer from headaches, neck and shoulder tension and lower back pain.
  • Suffer from RSI in the wrists due to excessive mouse work
  • Take a high number of sick days or time off work to visit Doctors, Chiropractors, Physiotherapists etc.
  • Suffer from fatigue, poor concentration and the big S – STRESS.

Yoga can help to remedy all of these conditions by:

  • Stretching and strengthening the body
  • Developing physical and postural awareness and relieving areas of strain or tension
  • Developing relaxation techniques for the body and mind, helping you to unwind and recharge your energy levels
  • Developing focus and concentration through your practice of specific breathing and meditation techniques

All of this brings an overall sense of wellbeing and greater happiness, enabling your staff to find the balance between their work and personal lives, developing greater contentment within their professional positions and thus greater productivity and staff loyalty.

Developing a Yoga Program that suits your business’s needs:

In order to best develop a Yoga programme that suits the needs of your staff and colleagues Resonate Yoga can arrange to meet with your Management or Human Resources officer and discuss any issues that are particularly prevelant in your work place.

From here we will tailor a programme to meet the specific needs your organization and address any concerns or questions that might arise during this time.

What we need from you:

A space an time that can be set aside each week, where staff will be able to practice their Yoga undisturbed. Conference or Meeting rooms make ideal locations for this activity.

Equipment:

We recommend that staff purchase a Yoga mat for their practice and bring it to class or store it at their workstation. This will aid their progression in the Yoga postures and gives them a space of their own within which to practice.

Yoga mats can be purchased through Resonate Yoga, or any good sports, leisure and lifestyle store.

Alternatively, Resonate Yoga can supply equipment if this is required. Please discuss this will your teacher prior to the commencement of class.
