Lion, Snake and Mouse

March 22nd, 2008

This is like rock, paper and scissors. Lion is simhasana, Snake is cobra or Bhujangasana and mouse is child pose or balasana. This is good if you have a reasonably large class with even numbers. Kids can work in pairs.
After teaching the kids the poses, get them to find a partner. Sitting in hero’s pose facing each other – get them to put their thumbs up when they have decided which animal they are going to be (lion, snake or mouse) and then count to 3 and they can go into the pose of their choice.

Lion eats snake, snake eats mouse, mouse runs away from lion
