Do you remember that old song? The toe bone’s connected to the foot bone the foot bone’s connected to the leg bone the leg bones connected to the hipbone and so on? Add a few movements just some simple joint rotations and you have a great warm up for the kids. Not only are they warming up their joints and getting moving but also they are singing and learning the parts of their body at the same time. You can experiment with the order, speed, volume and the body parts used. You can get quite creative if you want to. I have written down what I do  for a basic one.

Start by siting down with the legs stretched out in front

Spine bones, the spine bones connected to the: slide the hands down the legs towards the feet while bending over
The shoulder bones, the shoulder bones connected to the: Move the shoulders up towards the ears and down towards the ground
Arm bones, the arm bones connected to the: Bending and straightening at the elbows
