The Experience of Reiki

February 4th, 2007

During a Reiki Treatment -
The practitioner gently places their hands in various easily learned positions on the body. The hands are held still for a few minutes to allow the Reiki to flow automatically to the parts of the body where the energy is needed most. The person receiving the treamtne remains fully clothed, as the practitioner’s hands remain still and do not manipulate the tissue.

During a Reiki session/treatment people usually experience an immediate release of tension and a deep sense of relaxation, accompanied by relief of discomfort and pain. Reiki energy feels warm and soothing, providing a sense of comfort and support. It raises body awarenessand helps to identify the underlying emotional causes of stress, assisting them to be released. The treatment leaves one feeling uplifted and with enthusiasm for life, which usually results in an increase in desire to take care of oneself.

As a Reiki Student/the Long Term Experience -
Most students come to Reiki hoping to be able to relieve themselves or a loved one of a physical complaint and are not really fully able to appreciate the breadth of healing that is about to occur int heir lives, as Reiki works to heal not only the body but the mind and spirit also.

The practice of Reiki roconnects us to our inner world, leading us into a much deeper and richer experience of ourselves on all levels. Most students find that they feel much more relaxed about life, more resillient, are better able to keep things in proper perspective and are happier and clearer.

Over the days, weeks, months and years following your attunements/s (with sustained practice) Reiki brings about a gentle but profound transformation. It gradually infuses your life with positive energy, bringing out the best in you, aligning you more closely to your purpose in life and supporting you to fulfill your highestl potential.
